Following a rebrand, Rystad Energy wanted to help their marketing team create social media content that felt consistently on-brand—without every post having to go through the main designer.

The challenge was not simply to create a set of templates, but to translate the new brand into a practical system that the wider marketing team could confidently use and adapt.

Approach: We worked closely with the marketing team to identify the types of content they needed most frequently, focusing on key formats such as events, quotes, and Rystad Energy’s solutions and products. From there, we developed a flexible set of social media templates in Canva, with clear placeholders for copy and imagery. Variations in colour and layout gave the team creative options while ensuring the system could remain fresh and relevant over time.

The templates were designed to make content creation easier, but the project went beyond the templates themselves. We also held branding sessions with Rystad Energy’s main designer and brand manager, helping the wider team understand how to apply the new identity consistently across their communications. This combination of practical tools and knowledge-sharing was key to building confidence and closing a skill gap within the marketing team.

Result: The project gave Rystad Energy’s marketing team greater autonomy and capacity to produce social content, while reducing bottlenecks for the main designer.

The result was a scalable content system that included:
