Functional design:

Fully customized product brochures

Client: Rystad Energy

The marketing team at Rystad Energy reached out to me with a big project: redo all of their service and product brochures - and with a catalogue as big as theirs, we got started immediately to craft the perfect solution for them.

The challenge: Create templates for their product and services brochures, and make them functional for both digital and print use. Each brochure should feel airy and organized, but each page should work regardless of the variations in amount of text and information from solution to solution. The templates needed to be beautifully design but also intuitive to navigate and easy to update.

The approach: We looked at the basic sections needed for all solutions, and created placeholders for each section. I developed alternatives in design to accommodate all lengths of text - adding images where the text was briefer, and visual dividers when the amount of text increased. QR codes and links in all pages made it easier to adapt the brochures to both print and digital use, and we made sure to create files that were high quality but not too heavy, to improve loading times when being read online.

The result: A collection of brochures that are standardized and on-brand, and that the team can customize and edit as needed over time.
